Scaling
Ocelot-Cloud is designed to run as a single-node system. There is no built-in horizontal clustering. Scaling is achieved using one of the following approaches.
Vertical Scaling
The primary scaling strategy is vertical scaling. Run Ocelot-Cloud on a machine with more CPU, memory, and disk space. This can be done by migrating the instance to a larger server. The server migration guide might be helpful for that.
Multiple Instances via OIDC
Larger organizations may run multiple Ocelot-Cloud instances. Each instance is independent and isolated. Identity and access can be shared using OpenID Connect (OIDC).
- One instance per department or organizational unit
- Central or external OIDC provider
- Decentralized infrastructure and data ownership
Custom Infrastructure
For very large or specialized environments, a custom IT infrastructure may be required. Ocelot-Cloud is primarily intended for small to mid-sized organizations and standard use cases.
